bagAnyone interested in family camping trips may find these Outwell sleeping bags might be just what they need to help pass the nights in comfort. Available in both single and double versions, the Lakeview range of sleeping bags is filled with natural duck down and designed so that the filling stays in place.

The soft touch microfibre outer shell features an easy-glide zip system for ease of access – and an internal security pocket provides a useful hiding place for watches and other valuables.

Other designs are available, including the Camper collection, which is especially suitable for chilly climates, and the lightweight Coastal range. This is ideal for summer camping, with bags that pack away into diminutive storage sacks.

scratchRepair scratches in your 4×4’s paintwork with this Mer Scratch Remover. The paste works best when applied to a clean surface with a damp cloth – and should do a sterling job of making off-road scars disappear.

A 150ml tube costs £8.99 and the paste can also be used on caravans and boats.

rucksackThis new backpack from Gregory is the perfect place to stow kit while on an off-road adventure. The Jade 35, which is especially designed for female wearers, comes in a range of bright colours and is available in 34- or 36-litre versions.

The backpack features a special harness system that distributes weight evenly to the waistbelt. It also has a suspended mesh back to help prevent perspiration.

These features won’t matter too much if all you do is sling it in the rear of a 4×4 of course. But if you do decide to hit the trails on foot, £99.99 seems like a pretty reasonable spend to ensure your back’s ongoing comfort.
