Hilux on the Broads

augnewsbroadThe Norfolk and Suffolk Broads is the largest protected wetland and inland waterway in the UK and the Broads Authority has just purchased a fleet of Toyota Hilux double cabs for use by the rangers. The Broads are actually ‘man made’ when peat was originally dug from the area, and so need continual maintenance to maintain moorings for the holiday trade. It was thought that the Hilux offered all the carrying capacity needed, together with the reliability and off-road ability. It also met the C02 emissions policy and the pick-ups proved to offer a financial saving on other 4×4 options.
